What is an AI skin analysis?

An AI skin analysis reads a photo of your face and gives you a skin report: an overall skin score, an estimated skin age, a read on your skin type, and a breakdown of the concerns people care about most, fine lines, texture, even tone, redness, dark circles and radiance, with tips for the areas that need the most attention. It takes a few seconds, and it is meant for fun and self-curiosity, not as a medical or dermatological diagnosis.

What your skin report covers

Six visible concerns, plus your skin age and a skin-type read.

Fine lines & wrinkles

Lines on the forehead and around the eyes, the clearest signs of skin age.

Skin texture

How smooth or rough and uneven your skin surface looks.

Even tone

Dark spots and pigmentation that make skin tone look uneven.

Redness

Visible flushing or irritation across the cheeks.

Dark circles

Shadowing and darkness in the under-eye area.

Radiance

Overall brightness and healthy glow.

How to read your skin age

Your skin age is an estimate of how old your skin looks, based on the concerns above. When we can also estimate your face age, we show the two side by side so you can see whether your skin reads younger or older than your years. It is normal for the number to move a few years between photos, since lighting, sleep and even hydration change how skin looks on the day.

For the most reliable read, use soft, even light, face the camera, and keep hair, glasses and heavy makeup off your face. Curious how old you look overall? Try the face age test.

Frequently asked questions

What does the skin analysis check?
It scores six visible concerns, fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture, even tone, redness, dark circles and radiance, then combines them into an overall skin score and an estimated skin age, plus a read on your skin type.
Can it tell my skin type?
It gives an estimate (normal to dry, combination, or oily / shine-prone) from how much shine shows in your T-zone. True skin type also depends on how your skin behaves through the day, so treat it as a helpful hint rather than a verdict.
What is a "skin age"?
An estimate of how old your skin looks based on visible texture, lines and tone. It can be higher or lower than your real age, and we show it next to your estimated face age when possible.
Is this a medical skin test?
No. It is a fun, image-based estimate, not a diagnosis. For any skin health concern, see a dermatologist.
Is my photo stored?
No. Your photo is processed only to produce the report and is deleted right after. It is never stored long term, sold, or used to train anything.
How can I get a better read?
Use soft, even lighting, face the camera, and keep hair, glasses and heavy makeup off your face. Try a couple of photos to compare.
